A quick note:
Due to the realities of limited time, resources, and costs we have implemented a fee for submitting work.
We hope this will allow us to spend more time on this project, grow it, and connect more artists with people who love art.
To submit work the following is required:
- Upload images below. Size should be at least 1200px on the long end.
- Images should not be larger than 1 megabyte each.
- Include any length of an artist statement or comment you’d like about the work.
- The title should be what you would like the title of the post to be.
- Include a link to your website at the end so people can see more.
- The body of the email should say exactly what you would like the post to say. Please use good grammar. Ask someone to edit it if possible. Here’s a link on writing a good artist statement.
Suggested but not required:
- I would prefer a link to a site of yours that’s regularly updated.
- The website should be yourown.com (or domain).
- Flash websites will not be accepted.
- WordPress is good. Squarespace is good. Shopify is good. BigCartel is good.
- Consider allowing people to subscribe to your email list on your website.
- A little link love to Surrealism Today is greatly appreciated. Please share our social posts when we share your work.
- Please like Surrealism Today on Facebook.
Things to consider:
- Please consider if your work is surrealism, fantastic, psychedelic or visionary art work.
- If the work contains nudity please be sure it’s more surreal than erotic
- Please have a high degree of finish/technical skill in the work
We don’t enjoy rejecting work. We will refund your money it does not fit our vision for the site for some reason.
