This piece is about our long-lost connection to our mind as a whole. Even though we live in a world where we often feel separate and lonely, those feelings are actually coming from our ignorant mind (Original Ignorance) that we see ourselves only as physical beings. However, by traveling into our deep state of mind we get to a place where we have never been separated.

Min Kyung Kwon’s art is in the genre of pop surrealism – fantasy meeting reality from the worlds that reside within the subconscious. A juxtaposition of dualities: life, and death; love and hate; beauty and repulsiveness; sweet and sexy contrasting the ghoulish and strange.
